Nick Horler (1959)

CEO

Nick brings extensive power generation and distribution experience, having spent his career in energy. He was eight years on the board of EoN UK and CEO of Scottish Power until October 2010. Formerly Chairman of the Energy & Natural Resources Advisory Board at KPMG. With strong links to UK energy policy makers (currently Chairman of the UK Power Reserve), Nick continues to be instrumental in managing relationships and networks which directly affect both the interconnector and tidal energy development assets.

Declan Gaudion (1964)

Executive Director

Declan is one of the original founders of ARE. A former senior civil servant with the States of Alderney, Declan brings extensive knowledge of Harbour, Pilotage and Sea Fisheries operations to ARE. He is also coxswain of the RNLI all weather lifeboat stationed in Alderney.  With a family heritage on the island of Alderney stretching over several hundred years, Declan is well placed to understand the local culture and to manage community relations.  He also serves as a focal point for interaction with regulators as necessary to facilitate develoment or construction projects as they arise.

Christophe Chabert (1965)

Non-executive Director

After serving 19 years in the French navy, with a large range of operational, technical and management functions, Christophe joined DCNS to manage ship propulsion and energy systems design.  He integrated the first team in charge of marine renewable energy (MRE) development at DCNS where he led floating offshore wind activities.  Christophe is currently the country manager for France and Alderney for the development of tidal projects.

Peter Corcoran (1973)

Non-executive Director

Peter is a qualified chartered accountant who spent his early years with Anderson, on audit, finance and consulting assignments for global brands such as Guinness and Oracle. Having previously worked as CFO in the energy supply and software development industries, Peter is currently CFO of OpenHydro, the leading tidal turbine developer.

Christopher McFadyen (1951)

Non-executive Director

Christopher, both a Chartered and Certified accountant, is a founding director of Consortia Partnership Limited, a Jersey registered trust company specialising in trust and fund administration. He sits on the boards of a number of substantial private companies and specialises in areas of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, financial analysis, forensic accounting and litigation support.
